Kapolres Karawang AKBP Slamet Waloya menuturkan, sistem satu jalur ini merupakan terpanjang dalam sejarah mudik di Indonesia. Rekayasa lalu lintas itu diberlakukan demi mengurangi kepadatan terjadi akibat pertemuan arus lalu lintas di ruas Tol Cikampek dan keluar masuk rest area sepanjang jalur tol.
"Sudah diberlakukan rekayasa arus lalu lintas satu arah atau one way sekitar jam 5 sore. Ini terpanjang dalam sejarah mudik di Indonesia," kata Slamet, Selasa (19/6).
Dia menuturkan, sistem satu jalur diberlakukan mulai mulai dari Pejagan Km 237 Tol Cipali hingga Jakarta Km 3. Ini terpaksa dilakukan karena terjadi penumpukan dan momen arus balik.
Mengenai berapa lama one way ini akan diberlakukan, Slamet mengaku masih menunggu instruksi selanjutnya dari pusat. Namun hingga saat ini, one way masih terus diberlakukan.
Pihaknya juga terus memantau perkembangan Rest Area 62 dan simpang Dawuan Km 66 pertemuan arus yang biasanya terjadi kepadatan kendaraan. "Selain one way juga diberlakukan buka tutup rest area serta pengaturan di Simpang Dawuan km 66," kata Slamet
Kendaraan yang menuju arah Pantura semuanya dialihkan menuju jalur arteri Pantura, Gerbang tol yang mengarah ke Pantura semuanya juga ditutup. "Kendaraan tidak ada yang mengarah ke Jakarta, ditutup semua," ujarnya.
Kapolres Karawang ini mengimbau kepada pemudik akan keluar GT wilayah Karawang tidak menggunakan jalur One way. "Untuk kendaraan yang ingin keluar GT Kalihurip,GT Karawang Timur, GT Karawang Barat ,tidak menggunakan jalur one way," ungkapnya. [ang]
